Welcome to 97% Unique — Your Best Source of Plagiarism Issues

Hi, I’m Nancy! I’m a middle school teacher and absolutely love what I do. However, as a middle school teacher, I feel like I’m constantly needing to check my students’ assignments for grammar and plagiarism, since middle schoolers are still learning how to cite sources properly, paraphrase other sources, and make sure that the work they submit is theirs. I’ve been teaching for nearly a decade now, and as challenging as middle schoolers can be at times, teaching is definitely where my heart is!

What Is This Site About?

Writing assignments, such as research reports, essays, book reviews, and so on can help prepare our students for future academic success. Helping our students improve their writing skills is one of our most important jobs as teachers. With entire databases of information right at our students’ fingertips, it is also important for us to make sure that the written work students turn in is actually their own, and not someone else’s.

Between all the essays, research assignments, written reports, and other tasks that students complete, it can feel like a full-time job checking for plagiarism when you’re a teacher. However, checking for plagiarism is essential, and having the right resources to do so can make it much easier.

It is important to make sure that students are turning in work that they actually completed, but it is also important for helping students develop a sense of ethics. When students realize that plagiarism is stealing another individual’s work and calling it their own, they will hopefully be less likely to plagiarize.

While there are many online plagiarism checkers, I can tell you from experience that they are not all created equal. Some are much better at identifying plagiarism than others and are more user-friendly.

This site can help you find the best plagiarism and grammar checkers. You’ll also find additional tips and useful information to help you navigate teaching your students about plagiarism and checking their work for uniqueness.

If you’re looking for the best plagiarism checker, don’t fret. I’ve taken the time to compile a list of some of the top online checkers and other information about each choice.

I’ll also highlight the features, such as plagiarism percentages, replacement of characters, support in multiple languages, or downloadable reports, included with each checker.

You may share some of these grammar checkers with your students and teach them how to use checkers to make sure their writing is the best it can be before they turn in an assignment.

As students use grammar checkers to find and then fix the errors in their work, they may start to identify common mistakes they are making. When students are more aware of these mistakes, they can work to avoid making them in the future.
